Principal's Message

Welcome to the Balgonie elementary School homepage. Please check back often for updated information on school events and celebrations. We are a Kindergarten through Grade Eight school with approximately 400 students and 40 staff members. The community and surrounding areas continue to grow, with new developments on the horizon.

Believing Everyone can Succeed is our school mission. We strive to create a safe, supportive, and inclusive environment where the abilities and individual differences of all students are valued. We encourage our students to strive for excellence in academics, the arts, athletics, leadership, and service projects.

Our staff and students practice RICRAC behaviour. The RICRAC acronym is used to remind students, parents, and community of the “responsibility, integrity, caring, respectful, academic, and cooperative” values we believe will enable our students to take a leadership role in learning and in life. These values are incorporated into all that we do at B.E.S. as we provide positive behaviour and academic intervention and supports for our students.
